I found that when we went roller, that we needed a smaller .050 duration number than the flat tappet. (back to about 270 from 290) This was because the duration at .100", and .200" etc were more like a much bigger duration flat tappet cams. The larger duration roller cams took power away down low which did not suit the application (speedway).
